IP, IT & Distribution Law

P+P consults in relation to intellectual property (IP), as we have understood that IP may be one of the clients' most valuable assets.
P+P has special experience in the field of drafting and negotiating complex contracts (licensing, rights and know-how transfer, research & development agreements).

P+P has further special knowledge and advises IT companies on all matters relating to software, in Internet law and data protection issues. P+P has also gained special knowledge and experience in legal assistance with the set-up of IT marketplaces.

P+P also has a focus on IP and IT issues as requested within the context of transactions - e.g. if target companies own or depend on technology / know-how, software, intellectual property rights such as copyrights, patents and trademarks - including advice on questions of deal structuring and securitization agreements based on IP rights. We identify and evaluate issues and solutions in these areas of law during the due diligence process and in the drafting and negotiating of the SPAs. We can also attend to transitional agreements after closing.

P+P furthermore advises and represents clients in all distribution matters, nationally and internationally, in particular companies in knowledge-based industries such as the pharmaceutical industry, the technology / automotive sector and in the media and software / Internet business.
