Frankfurt International Tax Forum

The Frankfurt International Tax Forum is being chaired by Dr. Pia Dorfmueller, tax advisor (Steuerberater) and partner of P+P Pöllath + Partners in Frankfurt, in cooperation with the Young IFA Network of the Deutsche Vereinigung für Internationales Steuerrecht (region Rhine-Main-Neckar) and will be held this year for the first time.
The event is designed for sharing current developments in international tax law. The focus is on current law proposals and jurisprudence with regard to German international tax law, with speakers who are high-ranked representatives of the private bar, tax judiciary and tax administration. Moreover, each forum will explain the corporate tax system and the current tax developments of a foreign country that is one of the main trading partners of Germany. The Forum will conclude with a networking buffet where further questions can be addressed in one-on-one discussions. The Forum will be held at the Frankfurt Literaturhaus.

The Frankfurter International Tax Forum is designed for members of tax departments of international enterprises in Germany and shall serve as a platform for discussions on international tax topics between the tax administration, the judiciary, tax advisors and the international enterprises within the Rhine-Main-Neckar region.

The 1st Frankfurt International Tax Forum will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 from 9 am to 3 pm.

The topics of the 1. Frankfurt International Tax Forum will include:
  • Tax harmonization in Europe: CCCTB and the future of determining the tax base in the EU
  • Country update: USA
  • Recent developments in international tax law from the perspective of tax jurisprudence and tax administration.
